Navy Chief Guidon. The guidon is the unit identifying flag for a company, naval reserve division, or air squadron. It is used for parades ashore, at ceremonies, and as prescribed by the commanding.
Before wwii, the navy used a red flag for artillery ships. The navy guidon shows a fouled anchor within a diamond, which is the same insignia as the naval infantry flag.
